SWINGIN' AT THE SAVOY
SWINGIN' AT THE SAVOY FRANKIE MANNING'S STORY

This video provides an intimate look into the life of Frankie Manning, a living legiend of the Swing Era. Along with his recollections, you will see an abundance of inspiring dance clips and many images from Frankie's personal scrapbooks.

The Savoy Club, in Harlem, was home base for the Lindy Hop during the Swing Era. The Savoy was the place to see and be seen - a place where partner dance thrived, jazz music flourished, and blacks and whites danced together. Frankie Manning, who turned eighty in 1994, was one of the lead dancers in a performance group based at the Savoy, Whitey's Lindy Hoppers.

Total Running Time: 25 minutes. $29.95
